Scientist-Narrator, March Mammal Madness [2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021]
Wrote educational narrative arcs about the behavior, ecology, evolution of lesser known mammals that incorporated both current research and conservation practices. Disseminated these narratives through Twitter (#2017MMM, #2018MMM, #2019MMM, #2020MMM, #2021MMM). Estimated reach: 4,000-9,000 unique individuals. In 2017, 3,993 individual Twitter users participated, 250 educators requested early access. This has risen steadily since then: in 2018, >1,500 educators serving over 120,000 students requested early access, in 2019 >1300 educators requested access in the first 48 hours, and in 2020 >5000 educators serving over 410,000 learners requested early access.
